“Opinions are like onions they are digestible but for best results you must peel back the outer layers until you end up crying and realizing that the core….”. Oh forget it, you can read that text on Doom Salad’s Bandcamp if you like. We prefer to listen to their music.
“Shrew Astronaut Destiny” is the debut EP by Riq Chiznik. It’s instrumental, except for the last track, a remix of the title track with comedic vocals. According to Riq “you don’t have to pay for it because it’s a free download”, which makes sense to us. So, grab your own free copy here.
Percussionist PC Muñoz and free-jazz pianist Ira Kamin, who is mostly known for his 1960s blues-based stuff with Michael Bloomfield, Mother Earth and Otis Rush, have recorded a percussion and piano duo album. It’s now available on Bandcamp and it’s free, in more than one sense of the word.
The Colours of Kings formed, as bands often do, over drinks at a local pub, where discussions became heated and ideals were solidified. Their debut “The Up EP” was recorded in basement studios and living rooms and is described as “Pet Shop Boys meets Postal Service.” The opening track is now available for free from their Bandcamp page.
“The Up EP” will be officially released to the world on September 24th.
Ah yes, we can finally offer you some authentic 21st century Exotica again: The Left Arm of Buddha call themselves an “exotic orchestra”. On stage, you will find the spirit of Tiki culture, burlesque dancing and music inspired by 1950s Rock & Roll, Jazz and Space Age Pop.
The band consists of eight experienced European musicans, a sound & video engineer, a light engineer, and several dancing girls. Actually, it’s what they like to call an exotic revue… an original and rare offer on the European scene!
